Oxfordshire 1884 Club Business Networking Meeting
Oxfordshire FA 1884 Club’s first business networking meeting was hosted by Brasserie Blanc in Oxford on 21 February 2025.
Oxfordshire FA’s reach, through our 1,440 local football teams across the county, saves the NHS in Oxfordshire £45 million every year by helping with treatment needs, and preventing medical conditions such as obesity, osteoporosis, strokes, coronary heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and dementia, as well as alleviating mental health challenges.
Our 1884 Club in partnership with our B4 business networking partners brings local charity and business community leaders together to share corporate social responsibility ideas, initiatives, and best practice in helping ensure lasting community benefits through inclusive local football.
We would like to thank all of the senior leaders who joined us from Blue Blood Sports, Caleb Acuity, Carbon Funding Consultants, Gardner Leader LLP,Handelsbanken, Homeless Oxfordshire, Howden Insurance, Ignite Training, the Oxford Leonardo Royal Hotel, Oxford Business Consultancy Limited, Oxford Direct Services, Partners& Limited, and Unipart.
Everyone there heard from our Chief Executive, Jonathan Duckworth, fellow Oxfordshire FA Board Director and local footballing legend Eddie Odihambo, Louise Merritt from Oxford City’s Sport in the Community, and Matt Everett at Oxfordshire United in the Community, who shard details about their charitable foundations and the positive impact they have as part of how we can all best support each other in helping local people through the power of football to improve lives for all.
