All NextGen members will be able to apply to be a part of the Oxfordshire FA Youth Leadership Team (with Gold Level members automatically offered a place on the YLT). This can lead to opportunities to attend the FA Leadership Academy, FA Regional Youth Network, and FA National Youth Council.

NextGen members will also be given opportunities to support the YLT with the running of events and projects.

Other opportunities will include being involved in League Youth Councils, and supporting Oxfordshire FA’s Senior Leadership Team and Youth Leadership Team to shape sustainable grassroots football across Oxfordshire.

Careers evenings will be held to support NextGen members at ever part of their development, ranging from advice in choosing GCSEs and A-Levels, apprenticeships, writing CVs, applications to universities, and even taking the first steps at the start of their career.

Working with our local partners, we can offer opportunities to support with coaching sessions, and insight into local sports and other employers.

By approaching local coaching businesses, we can provide a direct contact and opportunity for youth leaders to gain valuable work experience in the industry – all while working towards apprenticeships, qualifications, and a career!

This will also allow NextGen members a chance to obtain first-hand mentoring and feedback from qualified coaches.
