Witney Vikings Youth Donate Shirts to Kenyan Children's Centre

Oxfordshire club Witney Vikings Youth have sent shirts to Joy Children’s Centre.

Witney Vikings Youth have provided a collection of their football shirts to be donated to Joy Children’s Centre.

The Joy Children's Centre, located between the Kenyan capital Nairobi and the town of Thika, consists of a school for over 250 pupils as well as a residential facility for around 40 children who would otherwise be living in poverty.

After a supporter of African Children’s Fund, who is visiting the centre soon, sent out a request to clubs for football shirts, Witney Vikings Youth FC stepped in to deliver their old home and away kits, along with captain armbands, a pair of goalkeeper gloves, training tops and even a couple of adult t-shirts for coaches.

A representative of African Children’s Fund said: “We're beyond grateful for their support and can't thank the coaching teams at Witney Vikings Youth FC enough for their generosity in terms of both items collected and time in sorting and coordinating the pick ups.”
