Our aim is to make football a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone involved including players, coaches, spectators, and referees by ensuring everyone is treated with respect. We are fortunate that most of the football in Oxfordshire is played in the right spirit, but sometimes behaviour can fall below the expected standard and that is where we need your help.

PFAs will visit teams with an identified pattern of poor behaviour and assess them against a set of agreed criteria to make sure that we can act where required to ensure the highest standards are maintained.

The key responsibilities of PFAs will be:

  • To observe and report match day experiences both positive and negative to ensure we celebrate positive behaviour as well as addressing unacceptable conduct.
  • Help the OFA to create and maintain a positive sporting environment so that everyone can enjoy their football experience.

In return the OFA will offer all participants:

  • A comprehensive induction
  • Regular check-ins and training
  • A small renumeration per game to cover expenses.
  • Branded OFA clothing.

Successful Candidates must have:

  • In date FA DBS
  • In date FA Safeguarding Children qualification

This role would suit anyone with a love for the game and an enthusiasm to improve it, but it may be particularly attractive to existing or former, Welfare Officers, referees, club officials or anyone who has worked or volunteered in sport.

So, if you want to have a positive influence on local football and are passionate about promoting Respect and making football a positive environment for everyone in Oxfordshire then please send a covering letter outlining your passion for making a positive difference in football and the skills and enthusiasm you would bring to the role to:

The closing date for applications is 21 October 24 and successful applicants will be contacted by 28 October 24.
