Last Thursday, Oxfordshire FA joined representatives from County FAs across the country, as the 2024 County FA Recognition Awards took place at Wembley Stadium.

The awards recognise the work that County FAs across the country are doing in developing and servicing football locally.

Featuring special guests Dion Dublin and Jodie Taylor, the evening saw Oxfordshire FA named finalists in two categories; both of which highlighted Oxfordshire FA’s work in engaging with the county’s diverse ethnic communities.

In the Coach Development category, our Engaging Diverse Ethnic Communities Coaching Project was highly commended, while in the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion category, Oxfordshire FA’s work to appoint a designated Inclusion Football Officer and work with displaced people settling in the county was also acknowledged.

Congratulations to all of the counties whose projects were named winners on the night, and to everyone who has connected with both projects Oxfordshire FA was shortlisted for.
