Vacancy - Inclusion Football Officer
Oxfordshire FA is excited to be recruiting for an Inclusion Football Officer to join our team.
As the governing body for football in the county, Oxfordshire FA believes that EVERYONE should have access to football, regardless of background and/or ability. Our new Inclusion Football Officer will focus on inspiring and developing participation in football with resettled refugees across the county.
POSITION: Inclusion Football Officer
LOCATION: Oxfordshire FA Office – with work from home/remotely and travel across Oxfordshire
SALARY: £25,000
HOURS: 37.5 hours that could include evening or weekend working for community engagement
CONTRACT TYPE: Fixed Term for twelve months initially with Oxfordshire FA.
While using the power of football as a method of bringing resettled adults, children, young people and families together to participate in football, the role will see the successful applicant also work in partnership with local authorities to link into the local community and support the integration of those engaged with vital services, such as GPs, Public Health, housing and more.
This role supports Oxfordshire FA’s ambition of being the most wholly inclusive County FA in the country, with Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at the heart of everything we do, forming an integral part of our DNA.
The successful applicant will work with Oxfordshire FA and local authority participation staff, alongside wider stakeholders, to engage with communities and underrepresented groups, who face barriers to participation in Oxfordshire. The post requires creativity, determination, and dedication.
Our ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of community organisations, experience working with community groups and organisations, an outstanding knowledge and appreciation for under-represented communities in sport, and the ability to influence and champion change.
