Oxfordshire FA Supporting Parents in Sport Week
Oxfordshire FA is proud to support the NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU) Parents in Sport Week.
Running from 4-10 October 2021, Parents in Sport Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of the important role parents play in their child’s football activities.
Whether its driving kids to football practice and games, preparing kit and team snacks, or providing a listening ear; parents have a critical role to play in supporting their children during their football activities.
This year, the campaign is directly targeting parents whose children take part in various sports, with the aim of giving the information and support a parent needs to play a bigger part in the safeguarding of young people and are asking parents to access the new CPSU safeguarding hub, share the new animation on their personal social media sites and complete the free eLearning course on keeping children safe in sport.
