AS THE PANDEMIC HAS HAD AN EFFECT ON EVERYBODY’S LIVES, IT HAS ALSO IMPACTED ON ALL SPORTS INCLUDING FOOTBALL.

As we all start to look for a way out of the current situation, Oxfordshire FA is looking to the future and how the beautiful game might look.

To help this, we are encouraging children and young people, who are the future, to give us their personal thoughts on what things used to look like and what they want them to look like going forwards.

There won’t be an overnight solution, but we want to start to build better relationships with participants and engage with them going forwards, so that as lives improve, so does enjoyment of the game.

We have created a series of questions for different age groups and would ask young people, with parents’ permission (if under 18), to provide answers so we can look to build the future with ideas and previous experiences

We won’t be able to meet everyone’s wishes - but we can engage on trying to meet those of the majority initially and then work on others. 

The questions via the links below are the first step of what we hope will be a long-term future where we will continue to engage and get views going forwards. 

As an incentive, we are offering a prize of a PERSONALISED England 2020-22 replica shirt, which will be ordered to the fit, size and specifications of our winner! 

Please note - to be in with a chance of winning one of these rewards, we will need an email address for parents/guardians of entrants under the age of 18.

For safeguarding reasons, we have to be sure that parents are aware of the involvement of their children. We will complete the draw following the deadline and contact the winners.

The prize draw will take place on Thursday 31 December 2020 with the lucky child or young person informed in the New Year.

We would like to ask all club/league volunteers and parents across the county to encourage young people that play football at a grassroots club in Oxfordshire to have their say 

Of course many will be interested in what has been said and they will be listened to so after each opportunity as we go forwards we will publish the responses through our website and hopefully they will give children and young people further thoughts going forwards.
