Health & Wellbeing Support

Access resources to support health and wellbeing

Welcome to Oxfordshire FA’s HEALTH & WELLBEING SUPPORT Hub.

We care deeply about the welfare and wellbeing of everyone involved in local football in Oxfordshire.

Whoever you are, wherever you are, whether on or off the pitch, everyone faces different challenges, and anyone can be struggling with something that others might not see or know how to help with. We want to raise awareness of these shared challenges and help to and effectively tackle them.

That is why we have created our Hub, which provides directions to finding resources and support available from specialists such as those signposted below.

Please visit the websites of our friends below.

On their sites, you can access specialist information, resources and support.

Power Up To Play

Oxfordshire FA saves the NHS Oxfordshire £45 million every year by promoting mental and physical health and wellbeing. Injury prevention is equally important to us.

Power Up To Play is a charity initiative set-up by specialist medical professionals and local knee surgeons. Their aim is to improve young player welfare in grassroots sport through prevention of serious knee injuries.

50% of the knee injuries which children especially can get could be prevented simply by coaching coaches to ensure regular use of a simple warm-up programme, video resources and other support for which is available here.

Protect children in sport by getting involved.
