Football on the corner.

Football Partnerships

Football Partnerships have been established in Oxfordshire with the aim of supporting the growth and development of the game in their specific areas.

These football partnerships provide an opportunity for clubs and local stakeholders to communicate, work collaboratively and better support each other by sharing resources and expertise.

Banbury Football Partnership

The Banbury Football Partnership was launched in February 2019 after discussion between local clubs and partners.

Banbury Football Partnership will promote ‘football for all’ and its vision is for a flourishing and developing environment for players in the Banbury and the surrounding area.  Local  football assists with the integration of children and young people and parents within the town and surrounding area.

The Banbury Football Partnership members are   Banbury Irish FC, Banbury Phoenix FC, Banbury United FC, Bloxham FC, Deddington Town FC and Easington FC.

We work closely with Oxfordshire FA, Cherwell DC and local town and parish councils.  We also work with local schools in the area.  We have four priorities for improvement:

  • Improve the quantity and quality of pitch and training facilities in the area – existing and future provision
  • Retain and increase participation for all players and provide support for player development at all levels
  • Retain and increase quantity and quality of volunteers involved in running football clubs in the area, and
  • Support clubs to be well run and managed in the local area.
