About the OXFORDSHIRE FA Senior Cup

The Oxfordshire FA Senior Cup is the premier club competition in the county and open to teams competing in the EFL, National League System and Regional Feeder Leagues.

History of the Cup

The Senior Cup was first contested in the 1884/85 season where Culham College took the inaugural title after a 2-1 victory over Friar Park at the Caversham Cricket Ground. Culham went on to win the competition the next season and a further three times with their last success coming in 1903.

Oxford City have been the most successful club in the competition with their latest victory, a 2-1 defeat of Oxford United in the 2021/2022 season, bringing them their 35th title.

The current holders are Southern League side Thame United who have lifted the trophy 10 times in their history with the first victory occurring in the 1905/06 season. The club retained their 2022/23 title with a 3-2 victory over Kidlington at the Banbury Plant Hire Stadium.
