Oxfordshire FA

Open Play

Equity, diversity and inclusion are golden threads the run through everything Oxfordshire FA does; it’s in our DNA.

Our aim is providing football for all and our ambition is to be recognised as wholly inclusive. This year, we launched our Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan and hope that clubs and leagues across Oxfordshire utilise it as a resource to develop their own versions. Listening to guidance provided by our Inclusion Advisory Group and Youth Leadership team, we can include diversity in our decision making.

Across the board, we want to deliver equal opportunities for women and girls to play and will embrace smaller-sided/casual football for female players. We’re keen on creating the right opportunities for women and girls to play football casually and for fun.

In addition, we aim to provide a broader range of affordable playing opportunities throughout ALL player pathways to ensure the long-term growth and sustainability of our game. Our desire is to grow youth football to ensure a positive start to the journey in the game, and improve the transition from youth to adult football. Alongside adult 11-a-side football, we’re keen on encouraging more smaller-sided football and informal sessions, so that we can see more flexibility in affiliated football.
